Getting Help
If you need help or support, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We offer a variety of resources and services that can help you improve your mindset and mental health.
1.
How Grief affects us
Did you know, grief not only affects our emotional well-being but also our physical well-being?
Grief affects us all in different ways as the relationship or aspect of our lives that ended was individual and personal to us. That’s why no two people will experience the loss in the same way.
Some people experience intense ongoing emotions such as anger, sadness, emptiness, depression, anxiety, despair and guilt. Others may go completely numb. Whatever your response, grief can make it difficult to carry out simple tasks that life demands of us.
In time and with the right support, you will be able to turn and face you loss and find more balance. The feeling of sadness will always be present, but the intense pain will feel less so.
Grief may also affect a person physically; headaches, nausea, hair loss, IBS and fatigue to name but a few.
2.
What to say
It can be extremely hard to know what to say to a person whose loved one has died.
Whilst every person grieves in their own way, it is important to the griever that people acknowledge what has happened rather than ignoring it.
Any form of expressing your sympathy to the griever can be helpful. Offering them the space to talk allows them to speak freely and openly about how they are feeling. A simple, ‘how are you doing?’ is really helpful.
It can also be comforting to reassure the griever that whatever feelings they are having (sadness, pain, guilt, anger) are ok and that what they are feeling is normal and natural.
In these situations, asking a griever if there is anything that they need or want help with can mean a lot.
Most importantly, be kind. Let the person know that you are thinking of them and that you are there if they need you.
3.
Mindset
It is all in the name GL Mindset and empowering our clients to think in a positive way and to help them to take control over their lives and support them in reaching their goals.
A person’s mindset is related to the beliefs that they hold and how these beliefs help them to make sense of everyday situations. Our mindset plays a big part in influencing how we feel, think, and behave and how we cope in challenging situations and has a huge impact on whether we are successful in achieving our goals.
We all face challenges in life and our mindset plays a crucial role in how we cope with these challenges and can influence our everyday lives from our health and wellness to our relationships and succeeding in the workplace.
Too often, what stands in a person’s way is their mindset and that is why having the right mindset is so important. By taking the time to focus on a more positive mindset it can have a positive impact on our lives as a whole and can result in better mental health and well-being.

Benefits of Coaching
The benefits of coaching are as varied as the individuals involved. Our clients report that coaching positively impacted them in every aspect of their lives.
Being able to take action towards achieving goals, contributing more positively as a team member, communicating more effectively, working more productively or being more self-reliant are common positive changes that our clients experience.
Unlike other therapies, coaching gives you the opportunity to focus on the present moment and to take positive action steps that will impact your future, as opposed to focussing solely on the past.
